Fishfinder proudly sponored by

Some helpfull hints and info that may assist you when considering

your next reel upgrade and more!

  • Diecast Aluminum Frame
  • Stamped Aluminum Right Sideplate
  • Aluminum Braced Graphite Non-Handle Side Plate
  • Aluminum Spool
  • Rod Clamp
  • Manual Clutch (excluding 500LC & 600LC)
  • Optional Double Paddle Handle (500, 500LC, 600 & 600LC only)
When reef fishing we exclusively use this model of the range why?....
These incredible reels are tough, smooth and in our opinion the most
reliable little level wind reels you can buy especially feature for the price ratio!
They feature very smooth operation, silky drag for a star drag reel
and they will give you 1000 plus hrs before they even look like
needing a service. NOTE wipe them down with a wet sponge when
finished fishing or a light shower NO DROWNING or DUNKING!
and depending on how much you use this little ripper ounce every
season or so change the drag washers and service as recomended.
The 600 is perfect for 20 - 30lb braid, their light weight and easy to use.
"Honestley we can't find a better all round reel for this job!"

Ever Thought about trying "Soft Plastic Baits" while you are bottom bashing?
Well, with the Tekota range of reels you can as one of the benefits with these
reels is that they have a slower retreive rate why is this important?
Less hook pulling whilst fighting and raising fish from the bottom using fine
barbed jig heads. This is an important feature to have when using plastics while bottom bashing.
The Set Up:
25lb flouro carbon mono trace leader.
2 Squidgy Finnesse Resin jig heads 2/0 or 4/0. plus one xtra as a stinger rig (optional)
6oz or 8oz swiveled bomb sinker
tie your leader create a twisted dropper rig with 2 arms when this is done connect your jig heads, next make a "stinger rig" 20cm long with a sliding swivel or ring and bead and fit it to the rig before the sinker goes on then connect your sinker and its done. Simply clip this to your outfit and fit some 100mm squidgy wrigglers to the hooks and your fishing.
Its a fun alternative when bait fishing gets abit boring the fish hit harder too!
Ive just knocked up a quick one as an e.g. below

New Shimano Symetry 2-4000FJ spin reels! Awsome Snapper fishing reel for use with plastics at an affordable price!
Reel Description
It’s not often that you find a reel that has tournament performance and technology but is available at an affordable price – the latest upgrades of the Symetre FJ range provides the ideal choice for professional angler or budding junior where value for money is a priority.

Sick of wind knots and the sloppy line lay of other name-brand reels? The Symetre FJ is armed with Shimano’s advanced Propulsion Line Management System – Propulsion Spool Lip, SR one-piece bail system and Power Roller III for virtually 100% line twist elimination. Lightweight aluminium and graphite (1000 size only) frames, cold forged aluminium spool, Fluidrive II, Dyna-Balance, Super Stopper II and super slow oscillation system all feature as standard.

Of interest to the ‘twig’ fisherman is the new 1000 size which will fit in perfectly as the ideal reel to fish ultra light line classes and lure weights for trout and bream. The larger models feature a high retrieve ratio which will prove popular for launching whitebait sized slices and stickbaits at frenzied pelagic schools.
